- Directions – 18.1 miles, 31 minutes without traffic. For $20-30, park right next to the slope at this (Peak 9) lot (arrive early).
- Arapahoe ("A")-Basin – Part of Vail Resorts. High altitude for great early/late season skiing.
- Directions – 15.5 miles, 24 minutes without traffic.
- Keystone Ski Resort – Another resort by Vail. Long ski runs, wide trails.
- Directions – 10.3 miles, 16-22 minutes without traffic.
- Copper Mountain – Great skiing for all skill levels (start on the right side of the mountain for greens, and work your way to the left for blues, then blacks).
- Directions – 14 miles, 19 minutes without traffic.
- Vail – A world traveler favorite. Full resort amenities
- Directions – 33.4 miles, 37 minutes without traffic.
- Loveland Ski Area – A favorite of locals - no frills, slow lifts, high altitude, great skiing.
- Directions – 14.1 miles, 21 minutes without traffic. You'll need to go through the tunnel to get there.
- Ski Cooper –HA, we went here accidentally by confusing it with Copper mountain. Its a nice family resort where families leave their lunches and bags on lunch tables inside. Gentle uncrowded slopes for beginners
- Directions – 44.7 miles to leadville or 55 mins without traffic
