Thermostat
The thermostat on the wall controls the hot-water baseboard heating throughout the conodo. During the day, the sun on the back of the building can warm up the condo quite a bit, so you may find it gets significantly warmer than the thermostat setting. We don't know why, but regardless of the thermostat, or how sunny it is, the condo tends to be a bit warm, especially during the day. If you feel it is too warm in the condo, just open the window or doors to cool off.
The guest bedroom for some reason can get cold at night. Please feel free to use the electric radiator-type heater that is thermostat controlled that will keep that room toasty. We recommend that you NOT use the “high” setting. Its functioning should be pretty straight forward but if you have any questions on how to use it, please call us. Be sure that it is shut off when you leave the condo.
Entertainment:
There is a television in each bedroom and one in the main living area. The condo was upgraded to all-digital Dish network TV using set-top boxes. If you want to watch Netflix or Hulu, etc., We recommend that you bring your own wi-fi compatible video device such as Google Chromecast, Amazon Firestick, or Apple TV. However, you can also try using the built-in capabilities of the set-top boxes. Information on how to use the remote is here. If you have trouble using it please feel free to call us.
IMPORTANT: Starting 2024 December, Xfinity will be replacing Resort Internet and the HOA will be discontinuing Dish TV. We will be leveraging streaming apps on our smart tv and asking you to use your own subscription logins.
- The soundsystem in the main living area is compatible with your mobile device, so you should be able to play your own music or music apps through the sound system. Instructions:
Using Bluetooth:
- There's a pairing button on the top of the sound bar in front of the TV. Press that to Pair. If not try turning off and back on the sound bar (power button on the back of the device).
- Look for “
Klipsch R-10B
” in your Bluetooth app for pairing. - GO!
Showers
The showers have a bit of a quirk. The master shower starts hot and gets colder the more you turn the valve, the “guest” shower starts cold and gets hotter the more you turn the valve. You need to turn the valve in the guest shower almost all the way for the water to get warm. Hot water is connected to a common boiler, so please be courteous and do not waste it! Water is very hot which is a luxury for us, so please adjust temperature accordingly to avoid burns.
Trash
There are dumpsters behind the condominium building. The closest is to the left as you walk outside. Recycling is not collected but Recycle Center is located in Silverthorne near the Outlet shops:
Cleaning and Paper Supplies
You will find cleaning and paper supplies under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Broom, mop and vacuum cleaner are in the Master Bedroom Closet.
Plastic wrap, garbage bags, are in the bottom drawer in the kitchen.
Please feel to use what you find, but we would appreciate you replacing whatever is used up.
If you wish to employ a cleaning service, we can arrange a cleaner for you.
Laundry
There are brand new coin operated machines and online payment in a laundry room between Building A and Building B. You will see a staircase between the buildings going from the front of the units to the rear. The Laundry entrance is in the rear, next to those steps. There are laundromats in Silverthorne and Frisco. We do not recommend the one in Dillon. The Frisco one has machines that accept credit cards. As of Sept 2024, price appeared to be $2.50 for each machine.
